Sugar's Story

Sugar has been with me since I was 13 years old.  I wanted a puppy and not long after, my aunt and uncle had a Chihuahua mix that mated with a black poodle by accident.  My mom had told me that if I would wait until the puppies were born, I could take one home.   She was 6 weeks old when we brought her home, now she is 19 years old. Her age has taken it's toll on her so she is now deaf and blind in both eyes.  But don't worry, that doesn't slow her down at all. She still has that alpha personality or the cranky old lady attitude!  She gets around the house with no problems.  Of all the dogs I have had in her 19 years, it hasn't made a difference if it was a Great Dane or a small dog, she has always been the alpha personality dog.
